Susan has been an artist all of her life. After graduating from the Ontario College of Art in the late 80’s she planted roots in Toronto and fell into the Movie Industry full-time where her skills as a visual artist: Photographer, Etcher, Drawer, Painter, have come in handy.  She has travelled all over North America and France. She has worked in Barbados and in the Bahamas. She is due for more travelling soon.

Since moving to Port Stanley in 2004, a hamlet of only 2000 people off-season, and a place that is reminiscent of small-town New England and various European country-sides, she found a community of artists from “everywhere” who are producing work that is getting noticed by “elsewhere” and she is just starting to produce fully her own body of work that is showing and selling in group exhibitions with positive results. She is also getting involved with the community and building a new life for the next ½ of her life. Work in the Film Industry is still present but not ever-present like it used to be, she’s craving more of doing something different; transferring her skills locally as an artist and designer; and having more “life” and time to plant her garden.
